British Insurance Awards 2001 Halifax General Insurance Services Ltd, the household insurance arm of the Halifax, was named 'Best Claims Team of the Year'.

Business in the Community Halifax received the Impact Endorsement Mark and was highly commended for excellence in diversity as part of Business in the Community's Awards for Excellence.

Chartered Institute of Bankers Awards - In 2000, two of the top prizes went to the Halifax. The 'Customer Development and Management Award' category was won by the Customer Marketing System. The Managed Dictation System used by Colleys picked up first prize in the 'Award for Working Practices'.

Clean City Award - Halifax branches within the square mile in the City of London received the Corporation of London's (the local authority for the city of London) Clean City Awards for environment management and good waste management.

Financial Adviser Product Provider of the Year Awards 2000 - Halifax won the Gold Award in the 'Best Mortgage Provider' category for the third year running.

L&G Mortgage Club Awards 2001 Halifax was voted 'Best Lender for Service'.

Money Marketing Financial Services Awards 2001 - an event that Halifax has dominated for the last 11 years. Halifax was once again voted 'Best Residential Mortgage Loan Provider' and this year also won 'Best TV Commercial' for the advertising campaign featuring employees.

Moneywise Magazine's Mortgages of the Year Awards 2001 - IFAs voted Halifax 'Best Overall Lender' and 'Best Discounted Rate'.

Mortgage Introducer Magazine, Lender/Packager of the Year Awards 2001 - Halifax was voted 'Best Flexible Company', 'Best Provider of Long Term Fixed Rate Mortgages', 'Best Provider of Short Term Fixed Rate Mortgages' (joint winner), and a finalist in the 'Best Service Award'.

Opportunity Now's Gold Standard for its efforts in promoting equal opportunities and best practice in the workplace. This is the second year running that Halifax has won this award.

Your Money Direct Awards 2001 Halifax was voted 'Best Online Home and Contents Insurance Provider', 'Best Online Travel Insurance Provider' and 'Best Online Credit Card Provider'.

Your Mortgage Awards 2000-2001 Halifax was voted 'Highly Commended Bank'.
